The Eastern Regional Tourism District (ERTD) represents 41 towns in Eastern Connecticut.
The eastern region is home to some of Connecticut’s top tourism destinations including Mystic Aquarium, Mystic Seaport, Foxwoods Resort Casino, and Mohegan Sun.

PROBLEM
Mystic Country was the branded marketing name created by the state agency to market the region.
While Mystic, CT was the best-known town within the region, the dominant tourism driver and the namesake of the region – the 20 other communities were underrepresented.
