Mark Lund

Mark Lund, the Chief Operations Officer at Regan Communications Group, is recognized as a forward-thinking and cooperative media leader with a history of working alongside top-tier entertainment firms. His expertise lies in steering dynamic teams towards substantial growth and profitability, all while cultivating an uplifting work environment to maintain high standards of excellence.

Between 2012 and 2021, Mark held the role of President & General Manager at WBZ-TV/CBS Boston. Here, he oversaw comprehensive operations encompassing various departments such as news, digital media, production, programming, engineering, finance, sales, and marketing, with direct oversight of the station’s profit and loss.

During his tenure, Mark was instrumental in forging and expanding content collaborations with renowned entities like the New England Patriots, The Boston Marathon, The New England Revolution, and The Pan Mass Challenge. A key achievement under his leadership was the inauguration of CBSN Boston, the city’s first live local streaming news service. Additionally, he played a crucial role in the design of WBZ/CBS Boston’s new, cutting-edge facility and studio, projected to open in 2025.

In managing a 24/7 broadcast operation, Mark focused on brand enhancement and safeguarding the station’s FCC license, with a core commitment to serving the community as a reliable source of news and information. His tenure saw WBZ news garner prestigious recognitions, including the Columbia Dupont Award and the George Foster Peabody Award for exceptional local news reporting.

Before his tenure at CBS Boston, Mark served as the EVP of Sales for the NBC Local Media group, where he managed over $1 billion in annual revenues, including high-profile projects like the NFL and the Olympics in Beijing, Vancouver, and London.

Mark is an avid advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, and actively contributes to various boards, including the Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund and The Ron Burton Training Village. His past board roles span a diverse range of organizations such as The Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, The Positive Coaching Alliance, Autism Speaks, The Partnership for Children in NYC, The Bronxville School Foundation Board, and he notably served as the Board Chair for the Massachusetts Broadcast Association.
