Since 1960, The Steamship Authority has been the lifeline to the Islands year-round. The Steamship Authority is the statutory regulatory body for all ferry operations between mainland\u202fMassachusetts\u202fand\u202fthe islands\u202fof\u202fMartha’s Vineyard\u202fand\u202fTSA is the only ferry operator to carry automobiles to and from the islands.<\/p>

The Authority also operates several freight vessels, thus serving as the main link for shipping any commercial goods that are not transported using the airports on\u202fNantucket\u202for\u202fMartha’s Vineyard.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The annual goals are to drive passenger traffic, and communicate service, schedules and other important information to the public.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
