It’s the final countdown! With only one week separating Team Regan from our client event in the Dominican Republic, we have been gearing up for one of the biggest charitable golf fêtes of the year!
Come December 12th, World Series Champion & MVP David Ortiz is reprising his role as “host with the most” in his native Dominican Republic for the 6th annual “David Ortiz Celebrity Golf Classic” which will directly benefit the David Ortiz Children’s Fund in partnership with World Pediatric Project and Massachusetts General Hospital for Children.
As a new team member at Regan, I’m told some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment will join the MVP’s efforts in raising funds for this international cause which provides critical pediatric healthcare in both of his home cities. Celebrities and athletes alike will attend this four-day destination charity event in Punta Cana and take a swing at the celebrity golf tournament on the world-renowned Punta Espada Golf Course.
To date, the golf outing has netted approximately $1.5 million and has provided David Ortiz the opportunity to showcase the beauty of his home country while improving the lives of children in need from both of his home cities.
But golfing isn’t the only way to give back. The David Ortiz Children’s Fund has recently launched an online auction full of unique experiences and rare memorabilia – the best part is all proceeds are directly benefitting the foundation. A preview of some the 70+ items include:
