Karen is a communication professional with more than 25 years of experience in public relations, marketing, and journalism. As a former journalist, Karen has strong media connections, which greatly benefit our clients. Her print, broadcast, and digital media expertise are focused on helping organizations and businesses achieve publicity and leveraging media coverage as part of a communications strategy.
Before joining Quinn & Hary, Karen managed public relations and brand development for a wide range of clients at a Fairfield County firm. A former hard news reporter and editor at Hearst publications, Karen was also a social media editor and reporter at a legal industry news and information publication based in Hartford, Connecticut. Karen has journalism degrees from the University of Connecticut and Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism in NYC. Karen has won multiple journalism awards, including many from The Society of Professional Journalists, a Publick (cq) Occurrences Award from the New England Newspaper Association, and the First Amendment Award for Excellence in Judicial Reporting from the Connecticut Judicial Department.
