If you’ve been waiting for a chance to head over to the ever-popular Lawn on D in Southie this summer, now’s your chance. On August 18, Team IMPACT’s Young Professional Board will host the inaugural 2015 “Team IMPACT Summer Fest” at The Lawn on D to benefit the Boston-based organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for children facing life-threatening and chronic illnesses by drafting them onto college athletic teams. If you haven’t yet heard of the organization, read more in the Boston Globe about how they are dedicated to constantly inspiring us, local communities, families and athletic teams.
With a night dedicated to raising awareness, the event will feature an outdoor concert with tunes from Boston’s own Dalton & the Sheriffs. With admission, guests will receive a food and drink ticket granting them access to tastes from Southie’s favorite hotspots, Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar and Lincoln Tavern & Restaurant. Revelers will enjoy this interactive outdoor space with access to public seating and lounge chairs, assorted lawn games such as bocce courts and Ping-Pong tables and free Wi-Fi.
