Step Back to 1775: Revolution Awaits at Mass Historical Society

Massachusetts Historical Society opened its 1775: Rebels, Rights & Revolution, an immersive exhibition exploring the pivotal events and personal stories that ignited the American Revolution. The xhibit features letters, diary entries, and artifacts from MHS collections, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution by offering a unique and personal perspective on the events of 1775. Artifacts include Paul Revere’s handwritten account of his famous Midnight Ride, an account of Sarah Winslow Deming’s dramatic escape from Boston during the siege of the city, and other artifacts of the time, including pistols, powder horns, and cannon balls. Regan secured coverage for the opening event on TV stations WFXT, WCVB, WHDH, and WBZ, an extended interview with Chief Historian Peter Drummey on WBZ-AM, and a prominent part of a roundup of 1775 exhibits in the Boston Globe.
