It’s common knowledge across the nation that Bostonians are passionate people. We love our sports teams, we love our Dunkin’ iced coffee (even through the seemingly endless Polar Vortex), and most of all, we love our city. No matter what tragedy has been thrown our way in the past year, Bostonians have come together to rise above it all and the city has only become stronger.

This spring, Boston-based New Balance is paying respect to its hometown and to the thousands of runners who run its streets with the company’s “Love Boston” running campaign. Featuring limited edition footwear, a special Runners for Boston t-shirt, and partnerships with local restaurants & hotels, New Balance is showing its love for Boston in many ways.

The company introduced two limited edition sneakers as part of the campaign, the Boston 990v3 and the Boston 890v4. Both shoes are available in both men’s and women’s sizes at select Boston-based retailers including New Balance Boston (583 Boylston Street), The Tannery, City Sports, the New Balance booth at the John Hancock Sports & Fitness Expo, and online at www.newbalance.com. New Balance also introduced a special Runners for Boston t-shirt for both men and women and will donate $10 of each sale to The One Fund.

New Balance is partnering with the Lenox Hotel, the Charlesmark Hotel, Boloco, Old Town Trolley, and we here at Regan were thrilled to help expand the campaign by hooking New Balance up with another Regan client, The Varano Group.. Runners can “carbo load” at four of The Varano Group’s restaurants – Strega North End, Strega Waterfront, Nico Ristorante, & Strega Prime – with a special New Balance #LoveBoston Fettuccine from Friday, April 18th – Monday, April 21st. All proceeds from the $24 dish will go to The One Fund.

Consumers are encouraged to show their own love by using the hashtag #LoveBoston in their social media posts. Anyone who uses the hashtag #LoveBoston on Instagram can visit New Balance Boston and pick up their printed Instagraffer photo between April 18th and 20th. Images will also be on display at the New Balance booth inside the John Hancock Sports & Fitness Expo.

As you’ll see from the video below, there are countless reasons to #LoveBoston. Make sure to share your reason with New Balance! Tweet at @newbalance why you personally #LoveBoston and spread the Boston love!
