It may seem like only yesterday that we were carving pumpkins and stuffing our faces with candy corn, but the passing of Halloween marks the beginning of a new holiday season. As soon as November 1st hit and the clocks fell back, Starbucks began handing out red cups and stores started showing ads for Black Friday sales.
The holiday season is upon us and nothing signals the holidays like the arrival of Santa. The big guy in red will soon be arriving at Simon malls around the country with his jolly helpers, elaborate sets and giant Christmas trees to ring in the holiday season. While everyone may know that they can take a picture with Santa at the mall, here are a few other things taking place at local Simon malls across New England:
SANTA PET PHOTOS
Pets are an important part of the family and local Simon malls have nights designated for owners to bring their four legged friends to meet St. Nick. Stop in after the mall’s holiday hours and use the designated entrance for a pet friendly photo-opp!
GIFT WRAPPING
While many stores may offer to wrap your presents for a small fee, there are often partners set up within the mall that will do it for you as well. If you aren’t an expert wrapper, and want to feel like you’re doing something good, this is a great opportunity to give back.
PERSONAL SHOPPER
At Copley Place, those who may not be that into shopping, or are looking for assistance can hire a personal shopper to do all of the work for them. Kathy Benharris, Copley Place’s personal shopper is available to shop on a client’s behalf, or escort them through the mall on a custom shopping tour.
EXTENDED HOURS
For many, the hardest part about doing holiday shopping is finding the time to actually do it. Luckily, Simon malls have extended hours so whether you are an early bird or a night owl, you will be able to shop at a time that is convenient for you. An added bonus is that you’ll miss the crowds!
CARING SANTA
Know someone special who may not like the typical busy shopping mall environment, but would still love to have a photo with Santa? Select New England Simon malls offer children who have special needs a private event to have their photos taken with Santa.
