In what has become a pre-Christmas tradition, several former Boston Police commissioners gather before the holiday each year to enjoy a meal and the camaraderie that only truly be shared by the men and women who have lived the challenges and pressures of that job. We are honored to call several of those former BPD bosses our friends, and were happy to arrange for NBC Boston reporter Robert Goulston to talk to them. As it happened, this year’s lunch came just a few days after the end of the manhunt for the Brown University shooter, and that investigation was a major topic of discussion. Check out NBC’s piece here. We are grateful to former Commissioners William Bratton, Kathleen O’Toole, and William Gross for taking the time to share their thoughts.
