More growth, more projects and more satisfied clients: Quinn & Hary Marketing, the wholly owned Regan Communications Group subsidiary in New London, sizzled in Connecticut this past summer. Q&H developed and marketed community support for a number of high profile community initiatives.

First, we assisted our client, the City of New London, by writing the application for the City of New London to be designated a “Coast Guard City.” The Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard notified the City that our efforts were successful and New London was granted the designation, the first of its kind in southern New England! Quinn & Hary helped the City celebrate this achievement on the New London Waterfront in August.CG Summer Logo (1)

Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy took note of New London’s “Coast Guard City” designation, and in conjunction with the 225th birthday of the United States Coast Guard, he designated 2015 as “Coast Guard Summer.” Quinn & Hary worked closely with the City, the State of Connecticut Office of Military Affairs, the Governor’s office and other stakeholders to coordinate and publicize the many events on an action packed summer calendar. Q&H also developed a logo, website and banners to commemorate Coast Guard Summer.

Another Q&H client, the National Coast Guard Museum Association, was front and center in all of the Coast Guard Summer events, many of which raised money for the Museum’s fundraising campaign. We also helped coordinate the conveyance of the historic Ledge Lighthouse from the Government Services Administration to our client, the New London Maritime Society.

The grand finale for Connecticut’s Coast Guard Summer was the 3rd annual Connecticut Maritime Heritage Festival, held on the New London waterfront in early September. This is the third year Quinn & Hary was retained by the Festival, which included “Coast Guard at the Garde” movie night (held at the Garde Arts Center, another Q&H client), a Captain’s Ball honoring the University of Connecticut President Susan Herbst, the annual Schooner Race, the Great New London Chowder Challenge and other events.

Our success in promoting Coast Guard Summer garnered a lot of attention and has created good will across the state of Connecticut. Across the Thames River from New London, the City and Town of Groton (yes, there are two Grotons!) appreciated our public relations and marketing efforts. They just hired Quinn & Hary to be the agency of record for “CSubmarine Century Logoonnecticut’s Submarine Century,” a year-long celebration marking the 100th anniversary of the arrival of the first submarines at the Naval Submarine Base in Groton.

We just developed their new logo and launched CTSubmarineCentury.com. Quinn & Hary thrives by following the action in our community. We look forward to marketing the latest and greatest causes, here, in Connecticut.
