Iced Coffee Day is one of the biggest days of the year for Dunkin’ Donuts in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. Not only does it bring attention to one of Dunkin’s most popular beverages, Iced Coffee, but it also supports a great cause. On May 20th, $1 from every cup of Iced Coffee sold went to Hasbro Children’s Hospital.
This year’s Iced Coffee Day was extra special for Dunkin’ and Patriots’ fans. The day before #DDIcedCoffeeDay, Defensive End Chandler Jones and Pat Patriot visited a Dunkin’ Donuts in Warwick, Rhode Island. The Super Bowl champ signed autographs, gave out free Iced Coffees (95 in honor of his jersey number) and even handed out orders to surprised customers at the drive-thru window!
Overall, the event was a huge success. It not only created a huge increase of followers to our social media channels (follow us on Twitter at @DDPVD!) but with all the media coverage, we were successfully able to get the #IcedCoffeeDay word out to drive Iced Coffee sales for Hasbro. Since 2010, this partnership has raised over $750,000 for the hospital and we can’t wait to find out how much was raised this year!
