There are tons of great places to get beer and wings in Connecticut, but only one took home a trophy at the National Buffalo Wing Festival in Buffalo, NY this year. Hot Rod Café in New London, a client of Quinn & Hary Marketing, beat out 30 competitors nationwide and took home the second place trophy in the traditional medium buffalo sauce category. Q&H was asked to design some eye-catching banners to draw more attention to the Hot Rod Café booth.

“To take second place in the biggest wing competition in the country is such a huge honor for us,” said Hot Rod Cafe owner Rod Cornish. “We are so proud to have represented New London and brought home this great win, not just for our restaurant but for our city,” he said.

The National Buffalo Wing Festival attracts roughly 70,000 wing fanatics from all 50 states. Complete with competitive eating contests, amateur cook-offs and “bobbing for wings” in addition to the restaurant competition, this festival is the ultimate wing lovers’ dream. To please such a crowd is an accomplishment, indeed!
To promote Hot Rods’ big win, Q&H shared the news with all local media outlets and bloggers who could not pass up the chance to report on Connecticut’s best wings.

Hot Rods’ win is just another great example of why New London is such a great place to live, work and visit. As the future home of the National Coast Guard Museum and one of the first school districts in the country to transform to a nationally recognized all-magnet school system, Q&H is proud to be an integral part of this vibrant and thriving community. And it doesn’t hurt to be just walking distance from the tastiest wings in town!
