Martha’s Bike Hosts West End House Boys and Girls Club for a Day of Biking on the Vineyard

This past Saturday, Martha’s Bike in Vineyard Haven, MA, hosted 15 high school students from the West End House Boys and Girls Club of Allston-Brighton for a day of biking around Vineyard Haven.

Sponsored by The Vantage Foundation, the students, many of whom have never visited Martha’s Vineyard before, had the opportunity to see the historic gingerbread houses, lighthouses, beaches, and Flying Horses, America’s oldest platform carousel.

The West End House also brought seven college students, who are a part of its university coaching program – a mentor program for students to receive financial aid guidance, course-selection assistance and social and emotional support with the goal of attaining a college degree. Currently, the West End House coaches more than 200 high school alumni.
